The National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) has been a cornerstone of amateur football in the Ottawa region since 1955. Originally established with just four teams playing tackle football in the fall, NCAFA has grown into a vibrant league comprising 14 clubs. Today, it offers structured football programs for youth ranging from Under-10 (U10) to Under-19 (U19), supporting both skill development and competitive play.

Myers Riders Football Club proudly fields teams across all age divisions, from U10 to U19. The club is dedicated to fostering athletic excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe and supportive environment. Players are introduced to the fundamentals of tackle football and gradually develop advanced skills as they progress through the age levels.

The NCAFA season takes place each fall, running from mid-August through early November. Teams compete in 8 regular season games, followed by up to 3 playoff rounds for those who qualify culminating in the league championship.

Before registering, families are encouraged to verify which club territory they fall under by visiting the official NCAFA website. Each club serves a specific geographic area to ensure balanced competition and community representation.

FEES (Fall 2025 Season)

  • U19 (Varsity, 2007, 2008, 2009) $350
  • U16 (Bantam, 2010, 2011) – $495
  • U14 (Peewee, 2012, 2013) – $495
  • U12 (Mosquito, 2014, 2015) – $395
  • U10 (Tyke, 2016, 2017) – $395

Additional Fees:

  • Mandatory Football Ontario Insurance – $27.00
  • Mandatory Football Canada Insurance – $15.00

These fees will be automatically added during registration.

Note:

  • Registration includes a non-refundable $100 tryout and administration
  • Payment can be made via Visa or MasterCard at
  • Early registrants may choose a payment plan, available during
  • Cheques for registration fees are no longer

Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued if a player quits after the first regular season
  • If a player is released before playing their first regular season game, a partial refund (total fees minus $100 admin/tryout fee) will be issued.

Equipment Deposit

At the time of equipment pickup, a $350 deposit is required. This can be provided via:

  • Post-dated cheque (dated November 1, 2025)
  • Completed credit card authorization form (will only be processed if equipment isn’t returned)

The deposit will be returned upon the safe return of all equipment.

ELIGIBILITY

Myers Riders Football Club is part of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA), a territory-based league.

New players—or returning players who did not play with Myers last season—must live within the Myers territory or in an open zone.

Before proceeding, please prepare digital copies (PDF or photo) of the following:

Proof of Age (any 1 of the following):

  • Birth Certificate / Registration
  • Passport
  • Driver’s License
  • Health Card

Proof of Address (any 2 of the following):

  • Report card (if home address is listed)
  • Utility or internet/cable bill (no cell phone bills)
  • Parent/Guardian driver’s license or vehicle insurance
